Keep 'After School Activities' & Youth Work, open for children in lockdown
After school activities like, drama, dance ,singing & music do not need to close during lockdown. Children are creative & need to express themselves. The government is not looking after the needs of children, its taking away the things they love, it will be damaging, upsetting & totally unnecessary
I run a micro business for kids that want to learn guitar, write songs, perform, join or form bands, and help them gain more than enough knowledge to apply for Access Creative and gain UCAS points for Uni. I have taught 100's of kids, and helped them launch into a music career.
It goes against the government guidelines to look after the 'wellbeing of children' during these difficult times in lockdown, they need self expression, they need to create to deal with their stress.
The government need to see this as equally as important as education.
If you want to sign this petition (as opposed to merely discuss it), you need to do that on the government's e-Petitions website.
