Urge Afghanistan’s APPG to discuss an end to the war in Afghanistan
The government should encourage Afghanistan’s APPG to discuss the deployment of more troops to end the war.
Currently, Britain has 1,100 troops stationed in Afghanistan acting to uphold peace and security in the region. Taliban attacks remain a constant reality in Afghanistan, as seen most recently in a car explosion killing Tolo News anchor, Yama Siawash and the shooting in Kabul University. In light of the continuous conflict that has plagued Afghanistan, we call for the British government to deploy more troops to immediately end the war.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This would be a matter for the APPG itself, and not the UK Government or Parliament as a whole.
