Make it a legal requirement for GPs to have virtual appointments online.
My GP is shut down due to the staff having COVID. This is why virtual appointments must be a legal requirement for for all GP surgeries to be able to practice.
This is already available sporadically across the country or privately.
Due to the pandemic and the shift to remote work , GPs should offer the same.
With my DRs shut down due to covid it's impossible to see a DR. This is not a good position to be in now or for the future.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about the lack of availability of GP appointments, especially when GPs close due to sickness, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
If GPs are unwell they will not be able to offer appointments either in person or virtually. We could accept a petition calling on the Government to give everyone registered with the NHS the right to online GP appointments, so that even if their GP is closed they can speak to someone virtually.
