In September 2019, the Prime Minister spoke of the need for an ethical framework in the roll-out of new technologies. We agree, and now ask for details of the ethics adopted so far, and of the international conference he proposed to develop them.
This arises from Mr Johnson's speech to the UN 74th General Assembly (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zf4YEyh7erE&ab_channel=UnitedNations).
We now ask for clarification and evidence of due diligence and environmental assessment in the current rapid roll-out of online and especially mobile data technology; the same for tests and possible vaccines for Covid-19; and the safeguards implemented for public health, human rights and civil liberties that he advocated

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do in more closely regulating the development and use of artificial intelligence and related technologies.
