Petition Action

Extend Theory test certificates for all those affected by the Lockdown(s)

Petition Details

Extend the Theory test certificates for those who have been affected by the national lockdowns and tier restrictions.
It is not the fault of Learner drivers who have each paid the minimum of £23 and invested time and effort to obtain their theory test certificates.

Additional Information

A theory test is valid for 2 years. If you have not passed your driving test during this time, you will have to pay and sit the test again.

Due to the global pandemic. 2020 has been a very tough year for everyone, across all settings, in all sectors.
If a leaner driver has had a driving test/ lessons cancelled who still has a valid theory test that is due to expire, a good portion, if not all of the remaining time will have been lost due to lockdowns.
How can you penalise learners for this?
