STOP the proposed ban on New Petrol & Diesel Cars by 2030 Consider Alternatives
Diesel & Petrol cars have equal environmental footprint as an EV through carbon and pollution in mining the elements for the battery as well as manufacturing. The carbon footprint is merely shifting to vehicle manufacturing.
Bringing this forward to 2030 is unrealistic & expensive to consumers
Explore & Consider alternative fuelling options for a range of current combustion and hybrid engines while continuing to build the infrastructure towards the original 2040 target date. (originally 2050)
Understand the effects on the existing vehicles in circulation and give a better understanding of how taxation, vat and charging will be levied against the consumer.
Clearly set out expectations & infrastructure for existing petrol & diesel vehicles as not everyone will want to drive electric
