Allow expats abroad to continue to vote in UK, following Brexit.
Having served proudly in Her Majesty’s Royal Navy for the best part of 30 years, I considered myself an active person, politically speaking.
France, until Brexit was ‘confirmed’, kindly allowed us European expats to participate in municipal elections. Since 31/1/20, that is no longer possible.
Scrap the 15 year time limit, so that people like me continue to have a voice.
Surely, we cannot allow Expats to have no voice - anywhere - following Brexit?

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There are no plans to reduce the rights of UK expats to vote in UK elections following the end of the transition period between the UK and EU.
If you want the Government to remove the 15 year rule on British expats voting in UK General Elections you might like to sign the following petition: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/559243
