Keep funding LGBTQ+ anti-bullying projects in schools.
We want the government to stop pulling funds to projects in schools that tackle bullying against the LGBTQ+ community.
People within the LGBTQ+ community face harassment and bullying on a daily basis, particularly within schools. According to Stonewalls School Report, 96% of gay pupils hear homophobic remarks used in schools, 99% hear homophobic phrases in school. 54% of lesbian, gay and bisexual young people don’t feel there is an adult at school who they can talk to about being gay and, even more concerning, 6% of lesbian, gay and bisexual pupils are subjected to death threats.
