Ask the N.I Executive to give scientific evidence to support restrictions

Petition Details

Westminster should ask the Northern Ireland Executive to give scientific evidence from officials with a rationale to back up any new lockdown restrictions.

Additional Information

The public has been left in the dark with the new restrictions, particularly as the restrictions do not seem to match the scientific evidence. In the 'evidence bank' from the Executive following harsh restrictions on the hospitality sector during the circuit breaker, it showed that the closure of the hospitality sector (bars etc.) would only have a 'moderate impact' on the R number but will have a 'high direct impact' on people due to loss of income. The public needs an explanation.
