A plastic free day in all UK schools.
What I want the Government or Parliament to do is to legislate a plastic-free day all across UK schools and education centres.
My reasons are that
A. Plastics are not good for life under the sea
B. Plastics are dangerous and can choke any animal that mistakes it for food
C. Little animals can get stuck in them and
D. One plastic-free day a month/year can make a huge difference to improving our environment.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about plastics, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. It sounds like you want to make it illegal for schools to use any products containing plastic for one day a year, but it's not clear how this would work in practice.
We have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:
Establish a national waste plastic collection/recycling programme for England: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/553651
Introduce a levy on single-use disposable plastic: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/554035
Heavy tax and public awareness on all 'Not Yet Recycled' plastics: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/315755
Reduced VAT on plastic-free products: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/552824
Impose a levy on all plastic production in the UK: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/555701
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to fund a public awareness programme for schools on plastics, if that's something you would like to happen.
