Require scanning of microchips by vets and to prove ownership when selling pets

Petition Details

No pet should be able to receive treatment from a vet or be admitted to a kennel or receive other pet services such as grooming without a microchip being scanned beforehand. No pet should be sold without proof of ownership.

Additional Information

Stolen animals cause huge distress for people. Having a dog or cat is crucial for our mental wellbeing. We need them, we love them. Lonely people cannot survive without them.
