Restructure school holidays for flexible holidays and lower costs for parents
School holidays in their current state are a burden for parents across the UK.
Schools are strict on term-time leave and the cost of going on holiday doubles in half and end of term holidays.
Many parents cannot afford the inflated prices and children miss out.
Summer holidays are currently too long at 6 weeks. That in itself is hard on working parents. I would suggest a 4 week summer holiday and 2 weeks 'free holiday' each year for non-GCSE students.
