Implement the proposed ban on new petrol and diesel car sales from 2030
The Government have proposed banning sales of new fossil-fuel powered cars from 2030. That's a necessary and achievable step against the climate crisis. Many drivers who have switched to an electric vehicle, or are considering doing so, wish to show their support for this.
Banning new ICE car sales from 2030 will not force anyone to scrap an older or classic car overnight.
At least one petition opposing this sensible change is live, and is based on the flawed argument that "electric cars are nowhere near as economic as diesel and petrol cars".
The signatories of this petition want to express support for a proposal that is sensible, reasonable and desperately needed as a step towards a sustainable climate.
You can't sign this petition because it is now closed. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
