Petition Action

Give more financial support to people with Cystic Fibrosis .

Petition Details

I want to change the regulations of PIP to make it more accessible for people with unseen disabilities. Many of us with Cystic Fibrosis cannot work and PIP is a lifeline to help us financially , but many of us are being rejected from the support we should be entitled to .

Additional Information

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic condition which over time damages the lungs and digestive system . Due to this many people are in and out of hospital and on daily medication just to stay well . It causes a lot of health issues and unfortunately that means a lot of us can’t work due to this .PIP needs to be more accessible to us so we can receive the financial support needed not just for health purposes such as medicines ,transport to and from hospitals etc but also for everyday human needs.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The Personal Independence Payment is paid to people who have a health condition or disability which causes difficulties with daily living or getting around. PIP is paid based on the difficulties causes by a health condition or disability, but there are not particular conditions which result in PIP being paid. You can read more about eligibility for PIP here: www.gov.uk/pip/eligibility
