The UK Government should cancel its proposal to cut the Foreign Aid Budget.
The UK Government proposes to ditch its policy of spending 0.7% of national income on overseas aid to help deal with the coronavirus crisis at home.
The UK Government should review and rescind this proposal before it is implemented.
This proposal is contrary to the Government's manifesto pledge and comes at a difficult time for all countries.
And, as the Chief Executive of Oxfam says: "Cutting the UK's lifeline to the world's poorest communities in the midst of a global pandemic will lead to tens of thousands of otherwise preventable deaths."
