Petition Ministers to take a 20% pay cut as they did in New Zealand .
At a time when ministers are asking public servants such as nurses to take pay freezes in the midst of covid it is wrong that the ministers continue to take pay rises. In New Zealand ministers took a 20% pay cut to help with the pressure their country faced .
Instead of freezing public servants pay at a time when it’s not only coming near to Christmas but also families are having to cope with covid perhaps ministers should look to what new Zealand did as an example and not put all the strain on the public.
perhaps they should join the public and do as New Zealand did and take a 20% pay cut to help the economy !
