Give more financial support to hospitality closed due to COVID-19 restrictions
Currently, the government are providing just £2,000.00 a month in financial aid to businesses closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. This is not nearly enough for those business to pay their bills whilst not receiving any income and if this continues, the entire industry will be decimated.
Although the £2,000.00 a month plus furlough is providing some help to businesses, it is not enough to sustain them for an indefinite period of time without income, especially since they have been through this once already for four months. If the government wants to keep these businesses shut, it needs to provide more support or there will be no pubs and bars left if we ever do become free of restrictions.
