Petition Action

Declare a vote of no confidence in Boris Johnson and the government.

Petition Details

I would like the government to declare a vote of no confidence in the Prime Minister, Matt Hancock and itself in its handling of the covid outbreak.

Additional Information

The government has restricted our civil liberties, detrimentally effecting the economy, locked up students and the elderly, caused mental and physical harm including death and damaged children’s development and wellbeing. It has ignored a body of scientific evidence and statistical data contradicting SAGE and PHE. We the people have decided it is time for the government to stand down.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept petitions about appointments, which includes calling for Ministers to be sacked or for a vote of no confidence.

If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or the House of Commons, you could start a petition about that.
