This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The new Covid-19 regulations permit protests where these have been organised by a business, a charitable, benevolent or philanthropic institution, a public body or a political body, and the gathering organiser takes the required precautions in relation to the gathering: www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2020/1374/pdfs/uksi_20201374_en.pdf

If you would like the Government to change the rules on the type of protests that are permitted we could accept a petition requesting this, but it would need to be clear what changes you want to be made.
