Petition Details

Protect green belt from unnecessary destruction from housing developments. Make it law that brownfield land proven to exist in the area must be all used up first. Any housing needs can and should be met this way.

Additional Information

At the g7 summit concerns re climate change are discussed & agreements made on how to mitigate the effects we have on the planets eco system. Yet we build on green belt causing unnecessary destruction of habitat of protected species of flora & fauna .the air we breathe negatively affected by cutting down trees. Mental health is a growing concern yet we destroy green areas proven to improve mood.
People need houses. Housing businesses need profit. Both needs are met building on brownfield land.
