Stop deportation flights to Jamaica

Petition Details

• CEASE all deportation flights NOW
• Fulfil the promise of a “compassionate” response to the Windrush scandal
• End “double punishments” whereby criminals serve their time but are still torn from their families
• End the hostile environment, and the practice of indefinite detention / deportation

Additional Information

31 children are expected to be separated from their dads on December the 2nd. 8 of the detainees have been here for 18+ years, and several arrived as kids.

One detainee has attempted suicide, but was immediately returned to the facility.

These people mostly have drug-related convictions. According to the Lammy Review, people of colour are 240% more likely to be convicted for drug offences than their white counterparts.

Since March 2018 at least 5 deportees to Jamaica have died.
