Keep pay in line with inflation for all public sector workers.
Funnel April 2021 pay rise recommendation for MPs, into public finance restoration.
Explore further dilution of UK Foreign Aid budget to restore public finances.
Public sector workers have gone above and beyond the call of duty since March 2020. No key worker should be left disadvantaged for doing their jobs during such times.
The pay freeze would mean public sector workers will have a reduced standard of living and be at a higher risk of financial hardship.
Such public sector workers will be encouraged to leave their professions. This will also discourage talented people, from universities and the private sector, from entering the public sector.
