Reward NHS workers with £500, the same as Scotland has.
Scottish NHS workers have received a £500 thank-you payment as some recompense for all their additional work and stress this year. British NHS workers have received either nothing, or a trivial amount. The government should at least match Scotland's payment.
The NHS is a treasure of the UK, despite years of chronic under-funding from the Tories. The pressures they've dealt with this year have been appaling and they've worked their way through. Nurses, Doctors, Porters, everyone. The very least, the VERY least we can do is to help them with a little extra cash this Christmas. Pay them with money, not claps at the doorstep.
