Petition Action

Change the Posthumous conception law.

Petition Details

I want to change the posthumous conception law in UK that says conceiving with someone's egg, sperm or embryo after they have died, is not allowed.

Additional Information

I want to give people, who are in the position similar to mine, to have a choice and hope and not be limited by the law which is unfair in my opinion. In my position. my younger died when he just turned 18 and we wanted to care for his children even after his passing and this would give us hope and happiness, so please help us.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. It's already the case that where consent has been previously given, use is possible.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
