To identify and seek redress for profiteering from the Covid-19 crisis.
To identify/publicise/seek financial recompense from individuals/corporations/other entities who made excessive/unfair profits - and those individuals facilitating profiteering. From suppliers of PPE to supermarkets selling non essential items taking advantage of their dominant market position.
The British taxpayer is having to pay excessive amounts for equipment not purchased through the normal tendering process. We are also disadvantaged by the closure of retailers who could not compete with the supermarkets and on-line retailers during lockdown - who were effectively taking advantage of their dominant market postion. These profiteers should be supporting the smaller retailers in recovering e.g. by supporting their business rates and rents.
