The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The £1,000 grant for wet-led pubs in Tiers 2 and 3 is in addition to other grants available to businesses affected by Covid-19 restrictions: www.gov.uk/government/news/prime-minister-announces-1000-christmas-grant-for-wet-led-pubs
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to increase either the £1,000 Christmas grant or monthly grants, but it would need to be clear what changes you want to be made to current grants.
We also couldn't publish a petition claiming that 75% of wet-led pubs will go bankrupt unless you can substantiate that statement.
