Make Boxing Day Saturday a shut down day so our retail workers get a 2 day break
I would like it to be made an exceptional, mandatory shut down on Christmas Day and Boxing day Saturday for retail workers to have a well earned rest.
Our grocery stores have seen unprecedented profit due to Covid. I do not mind this but I do mind them pushing their staff to the limit unnecessarily.
Area managers are imposing higher targets on stores and even cutting the staff hours at the same time: this is greed.
Staff have worked through the scary early days, not knowing how to stay safe and have continued to provide us with our groceries throughout. Staff have endured abuse for simply asking customers to wear a mask! Let's reward them.
