Urge India to rethink the recently passed agricultural Acts following a debate.
Coming from a farming heritage in Punjab, India, I have been touched by many families in the UK and abroad who are extremely concerned about their livelihoods, and thouse of future generations.
According to the census 2011, over 400,000 Sikhs live in the UK, many of whom own land in India and have families who are reliant on the agricultural sector there have been clashes recently reported by the BBC and others around this issue in Delhi where hundreds of thousands of Sikhs have travelled along with others from all over farming regions in India to peacefully protest the new laws enacted.
