Stop WiFi enabled devices being automatically enrolled into public wifi programs
I would like the government to prohibit the use of the opt-out system when companies roll out public wifi programs which utilise wifi-enabled devices within our homes.
Many companies are exploring the idea of utilising wifi enabled devices within our homes, to create public wifi networks. This utilises an internet connection that we pay for, decreasing our home network's security and potentially network performance and is all currently possible without our permission. This can be enabled via a remote software update and could go ahead without the owner of the device knowing.
