Abolish the Dangerous Dogs Act
The Dangerous Dogs Act judges breeds of dogs based on their past, ie pit bulls were fighting dogs. A dog should not be judged, and banned or required to be muzzled, and legislation should focus on the responsibilities of the owner and the upbringing of the dog.
It’s not fair to judge a dog based on their breed’s past because many of the dogs who are classed as “dangerous dogs” are only dangerous in extremely limited circumstances. Dogs are not all the same just because of a breed. Legislation which treats them in this way is unacceptable and should be abolished.
