Abolish requiring local authorities to consult Parish Councils for planning.
Remove the statutory law forcing local planning councils to consult with parish councils prior to making decisions on planning applications. If the Parish council want to still do this, that's up to them.
The Parish Council planning committee is run by local volunteers without the skillset & knowledge to comment on planning applications. I'm asking to take away the statutory requirement, thereby, reducing the power the Parish thinks it has.
