Permit remote learning surrounding relaxed Covid rule periods.
Families will inevitably be in contact with before and after wider mixing. There is no published data for cases/deaths of staff/CEV family as a result of education transmission.
Focus on students' safety has ignored staff.
Ignoring surrounding, inevitable transmission potential is dangerous.
Make remote learning optionally available for ten days either side of any temporary relaxation of bubble rules until there is full evidence to prove it is safe for students, staff and any CEV family members to be able to extend mixing without risk.
Consider a system similar to that of The Open University where students can have their own login, contact staff, have secure remote lessons with the option to have printed materials where access to technology or disability are issues to reduce inequality.
