Reduce Tiering to contain the virus AND preserve economic & social health.
The Tier system and lockdowns are devastating economic & social health/livelihoods/ business/mental health/unemployment/ insolvencies/personal tragedy. We do not accept your decision to compromise lives and destroy livelihoods. Create a balance between containing the virus and preserving liberty.
1:ONS calculate 200,000 excess non-Covid deaths caused by restrictions. (Covid deaths 56,000). Stop the course of action causing them. 2:Government regulations are contradictory, with no sense of cause and effect eg pubs/bubbles. 3:Tiers until Easter will devastate lives, businesses, and future generations - almost £1 billion a day. 4:Pressure on the NHS is no reason to make it illegal for people to pursue their lives. We have 7 unused Nightingale hospitals and capacity in regular hospitals. Excess deaths are barely above the annual average. 5:We have very real anxieties with the state arrogating itself the power to impose such stringent measures on its population when the data upon which this is based is chancy and uncertain, taking away our liberty.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about current restrictions, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
We have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:
Repeal Coronavirus Act and end all Covid-19 restrictions: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/561995
Fund & provide services to allow the vulnerable to shield & re-open the economy: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/552023
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
