Change the law on worker's rest breaks.
Change to, workers should have the right to one uninterrupted 20 minute rest break during the working day if they work 6 hours or more during their scheduled shift.
This current rule is ineffective and causes a risk to human health, and safety in the workplace. People who work in roles that are physically and mentally demanding e.g.retail and hospitality sectors. These roles require workers to endure prolonged periods of standing, in a fast-paced environment, which involves providing a service to customers, processing orders, replenishing stock, and maintaining a clean and presentable establishment.
These activities impact the body, causing fatigue, stress, low mood, back pain, stomach pain, headaches, dizziness, etc. Which will lead to inefficiency, accidents at work, and a risk to human health.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do, the current law on resk breaks requires that workers have the right to one uninterrupted 20 minute rest break during their working day, if they work more than 6 hours a day.
