Change the way that children are viewed and measured regarding weight (BMI).
I would like the way children in schools are weighed and measured to be changed. Too many people are being affected after having letters saying their children are overweight when many quite clearly aren’t.
So many people are being affected mentally and physically by this behaviour, not just parents who receive awfully written letters but also children, and we wonder why people suffer from young ages with eating disorders and anorexia. BMI just isn’t a true reading, especially for a young child. BMI doesn’t take into account muscle mass, bone density, overall body composition and racial & sex differences
