Petition Action

Condemn Indian government's response to the democratic farming protest in Delhi.

Petition Details

1. To raise awareness of the protest on an international stage.

2. To re-iterate the importance of protecting the right to peaceful protest to the Indian government.

3. To condemn the Modi government's heavy-handed use of force against Indians exercising their democratic right to protest.

Additional Information

Indians from across the country are marching on the nation’s capital Delhi, to urge Prime Minister Modi to repeal 3 agricultural bills that will leave farmers open to exploitation.
Protesters have been met with road blocks, tear gas, & water cannons.

Boris Johnson’s comments in response to MP Tan Dhesi question on the 9/12/20, show how uninformed many are, & how necessary it is to shine a light on this issue.

The United Kingdom should be championing the people’s democratic right to protest.
