Assist us to Depart:Dont deport us
To strongly encourage the government to consider funding the return of persons to their home countries who have been in the UK legally but have been long term out of work and are in reciept of welfare benefits who voluntarily wish to return to their countries of origin to resettle if conditions have improved. The government must put aside a package to help the returning immigrant to be able to return and start a life in their home country.
The advantages of this far outweigh any financial loss. The pressure on the welfare system will loosen up.The host government needs to engage the governments of home countries to facilitate soft landing and reintergration. We petition the government to set aside a budget to cater for persons on long term welfare benefit who wish to return and start a new life back home than to spend hundreds of thousands in jobseekers allowances, housing benefit over many years for a people who can voluntarily leave if they can start life elsewhere.
