Make the 26th of December a Bank Holiday for retail staff and close shops
Make the 26th of December a Bank Holiday for retail staff and close shops, essential and non-essential.
This year, Asda, Marks & Spencer, Aldi, Waitrose, John Lewis and other shops will remain closed on Boxing Day, causing a beneficial impact on wellbeing, mental health and environment.
Retail staff should be allowed time off to spend with their families every Christmas.
Shoppers can organize themselves around dates.
Benefits :
• Families can have a better-quality Christmas
• Children can spend time with parents
• Increased opportunities to spend time outdoors
• Reduce stress
• Improve mental health
The environment will benefit from less traffic and only a reduced transport service will be required.
Let’s make FAMILY time a real option for all.
