The government needs to rethink the relaxation of rules over Christmas.
Covid-19 cases are rising, and there is the emergence of a new strain of the virus that has introduced further potential jeopardy.
The government needs to review the plans to allow household mixing over Christmas to prevent further lives being lost.
The British Medical Journal and Health Service Journal said the government should "reverse its rash decision to allow household mixing and instead extend the tiers over the five-day Christmas period"; and that the government is "about to blunder into another major error that will cost many lives".
Christmas is just one day. We have to sacrifice that day to protect those who are vulnerable.
