The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Setting prices for individual products is a matter for retailers.
The Government has already introduced minimum pricing for alcohol products. If you would like these to be increased so retailers cannot sell below cost price, you could start a new petition calling for that to happen.
