Petition Action

Government to stop closing down businesses and schools

Petition Details

The government must now be urged to find a more long term solution to Covid 19 which does not include closing down businesses such as the hospitality industry and non essential shops. The government must also make a pledge to not close the schools under any circumstances.

Additional Information

These strategies and tier systems have caused more more suffering with regards to peoples livelihoods and mental health. With January and February around the corner the government must protect the mental health of the nation so we do not see a rise in suicide and poverty during the deepest winter. The hospitality industry have spent thousands of pounds in order to make their businesses covid secure yet have been unfairly targeted by the government and it needs to stop.
Children in this country have been at the most disadvantaged and have lost out nearly 9 months of education due to schools closures and self isolating, parents are on edge as to whether the government will close the schools again, this ,its not be allowed to happen.
