Christmas in July - 2 extra days off on Friday 23rd and Monday 26th July 2021
Introduce 2 additional one off public holidays on Friday 23rd and Monday 26th July 2021 in order to celebrate a postponed Christmas from 2020, heighten mental health awareness and ignite spending in the hospitality sector.
2020 has been a war on hope. The cancelling of Christmas socialising and new Tier 4 restrictions will have had a serious detrimental impact on economic growth (albeit, hopefully, balanced against the need to protect lives). However, more importantly, it will be a real blow to the nation's mental health and another low in an increasingly tough year. In order to give everyone something to look forward, to give thanks for surviving and to ignite spending, please allow an additional holiday.
