Petition Action

Create UK Bank Holidays on 25th and 28th June 2021 in lieu of Christmas 2020

Petition Details

The creation of Bank Holidays on Friday 25th and Monday 28th June would enable people to travel and spend time with their families. Many people have been unable to see family in person for a long time due to Coronavirus restrictions and have had to cancel Christmas 2020 at short notice

Additional Information

As the British public has complied with a range of Coronavirus restrictions, meaning many are unable to properly celebrate Christmas with family this year, a generous gesture from the goverment to reward this would be to create a summer holiday as replacement. This would act as a focal point for (hopefully!) national celebration and remembrance.
