Add a public holiday in the summer to enable families to celebrate Christmas
Add a bank holiday weekend to include a Friday and a Monday to the calendar. In 2021 this would allow families to get together to celebrate Christmas 2020 that for many was cancelled. In future it could be dedicated to the NHS and the end of Coronovirus. It could be called NHS BH Weekend
To give everyone something to look forward to - in a similar way to how people look forward to Christmas
As a thankyou to and a permanent acknowledgment of the NHS
To allow the retail sector, and in particular high street as well as the hospitality sector the opportunity to recover income lost in December 2020.
