Petition Action

Remove exemptions for places of worship during lockdown and future restrictions

Petition Details

It is unfair for places of worship to be allowed to remain open while recreational and hospitality places need to be closed that are important to people’s well-being and mental health.

Additional Information

Me and my two daughters were not allowed to meet in my house on Christmas Day, even if we all tested negative for COVID-19, as I live in what was a Tier 4 area, yet we would have still been allowed to go to church with complete strangers, and can still do so even under national lockdown.

In order to reduce the spread of COVID-19, places of worship should also be closed.
