Stop the advertising of dogs and puppies through online sale listings
Regulate the sale of dogs and puppies. Charge the breeder/seller a fee to register litter/dogs for sale and for listing of sale through a local Council run site.
Illegal dog sales are rising, as are the thefts of loved family pets.
Existing online sales sites have no regulation.
Through regulation and local council intervention numbers of crimes would be substantially reduced.
Fees for registering litters/dogs for
sale should be a sensible amount to cover costs of visit to check health and welfare of animals and check on paperwork (vaccination certificates, microchip details) by council staff, as well as admin costs for listing sale.
