Petition Action

Close all schools until after February half-term to stop the spread of Covid-19

Petition Details

It’s crucial that the government take action before the new covid strain spreads further, it is vital that schools close and school work is moved to remote learning and instructing the Education Secretary to work with schools to implement this to ensure children are still learning but not mixing.

Additional Information

The virus is spiralling out of control and we now know that this new variant is likely to affect younger age groups and this is why the government must take serious action to ensure that we minimise the spread by moving schools to remote learning with the modern day technology we have.

We must collectively protect our children from this virus and by doing what is suggested would create a block of around six weeks in which no mixing at all in schools would mean this virus can be contained.
