Permit face-to-face arrangements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) sessions
Permit face-to-face arrangements of CBT sessions, expressing an equal appreciation for the nations mental and physical health. Operated much like the consultation for physical ailments with social distancing guidelines, face-to-face CBT should continue to be arranged as a vital support structure.
Depression and anxiety, along with other mental health illnesses, remain under-appreciated as serious health conditions across the UK population. Amongst regulations of social isolation and a lack of lifestyle structure, young and old people alike are suffering from considerable mental health deterioration. The much valued support that worked to aid individuals is needed now more than ever, yet the systems that provided most effective support, like face-to-face CBT, have been markedly limited.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Government has not restricted face-to-face mental health sessions, and the NHS has said that face to face appointments are still possible for those who need them, but decisions about how to provide mental services are a decisions for individual NHS trusts and other providers, not the Government or House of Commons.
You should contact your local NHS trust or GP to find out what services they have available.
