Petition Action

Hold the main stream media to account

Petition Details

The main stream media including the BBC, SKY, ITV, CHANNEL 4 and 5 are all guilty of scare tactics that are destroying the mental health of the public and have been since the Brexit vote

Additional Information

Since the Covid pandemic the media have only bashed the United Kingdom and talk down our country, our leaders and push their anti government agenda at a time when they should be helping with the disaster we are in by being clear with the message from government instead of building scepticism, public broadcasters must be held to account and forced to stand by the public and spread positivity and the legal requirements rather than muddy the waters by creating confusion and uncertainty

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. In particular, we're not sure how you want the media to be "held to account".

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking for a public inquiry into media bias, if that's something that you'd like to happen.

You may wish to sign this petition:

Introduce statutory regulation of the media: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/326466
