Prevent schools opening after the Christmas break in all tier 4 areas

Petition Details

I would like the government to close schools after the Christmas break in all tier 4 areas

Additional Information

I want the government to close school after the Christmas break in tier 4 areas due to to the surge in coronavirus cases in 11-18 year olds. I also want them to close as this virus has now mutated to be more deadly and more infectious. Also this should be implemented more in tier 3 and tier 4 locations as these areas have the worst rate of infection.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Since you started your petition the Government has announced that primary schools, secondary schools and colleges across England must move to remote provision from 5 January 2021, except for vulnerable children and the children of key workers.
